It started with NFL.com. When I try and go there, the flag in the upper right stops and IE freezes up. I can look at article in the site, just not the home page. Now when I right click on desktop to change settings, it freezes up everything. I can still move the mouse, but if I bring up task manager and move it around, it leaves trails. Any ideas?

sharkfoot, If you installed one of the latest Windows Updates MS06-015 (908531) that's probably the problem. Check out the links below.

I added the line to my registry and it seems to have fixed the NFL.com issue, but I am still gettting a freeze up by right clicking the desktop.

sharkfoot, If the problem is indeed related to that update many have uninstalled the update to correct the problem. Microsoft is aware of the problems and supposedly will issue a corrected update in the near future.

It seems that the issue is larger than what MS has told so far. You might have to do a system restore to a point before the last batch of updates. You might have to remove all of the last few updates. Might even have to delete Flash 8.

I did a system restore to last week and that seems to have cleared it up. Thanks for the help
