I'm running Win XP Pro. My right click menu has started to freeze my system up and takes about 15 secs to appear. I've never run into this before. Any suggestions?

That's a weird one, considering the amount of memory you have...
sounds like a disk problem..Could you be more specific about your whole system details and the type of activity you had with it recently?

Have you just installed, or played with Tweak UI menu speeds? Or done anything to mess with the menu speeds in the registry?
If you changed the menu speed in Tweak UI in the 'Mouse' settings all the way to 'Fast', you need to move it at least one notch to the right (the arrow keys on the keyboard are the best way to move it in small amounts).
If you changed the registry, you should change HKEY_CURRENT_USER/CONTROL PANEL/DESKTOP/MenuShowDelay to '8' (which is the equivalent of one notch to the right in Tweak UI).
Let me know if this helps.

Just discovered that it seems to be related to NAV. I noticed that ccapp was little slow to unload on rebooting. I've since uninstalled NAV...right click menu was fine. Now that I've reinstalled, it's freezing again.

I have exactly the same problem but only on one partition. It is definitely related to NAV and appeared 2 days ago. I uninstalled it last night and everything was fine. Upon reinstalling, it's right back again. I have a feeling that it has to do with the latest norton updates but I'll be damned if I know what it is.

I've posted at a number of tech sites and this seems be everywhere. As this doesn't seem critical I'm going to wait and see if Norton comes up with a fix.

Hopefully it's not too early to report good news...I just uninstalled again (approx. 7 PM MST), wiped out all Symantec/Norton related files and folders and reinstalled. Ran Live Update and it seems to be ok now. Maybe there was a fix included in the updates.
