Comment:

I use Aiptek Hyperpen tablet & cordless mouse. When I try to right click on a desktop item a fault is shown, 'Windows Explorer has encountered a problem & has to close.' Fault seems to be in kernel 32. Desktop then closes & comes back up & is fully functioning again until next time I right click on mouse. Applies only to certain things (desktop, Word files etc.) Does not apply to Recycle bin etc.. Can drag & drop items into recycle bin & delete that way. Can also rename files by using rename feature in margin but not by right click. A very annoying thing. This worked until only a few days ago. Can't account for why it has suddenly stopped working.

Make sure you are using the latest version of your tablet and mouse software. Also, does this happen if you are only using a standard mouse and a standard keyboard? If it happens either way, also try reinstalling Internet Explorer and making sure you have all the Windows Updates installed....
