Sorry for my English.Who could explain me what is the file retten.exe? The manual says that it is very important to restore the system in case of damage and a backup should be made but it's too large and I don't know if I can save it 4 CDs(I think),because I don't know if it'd work.

Hi,
Retten.exe is not a Windows ME restore file but rather a file placed in the computer by its manufacturer as a last resort system back-up.When run it is SUPPOSED to put the computer back the way it was shipped from the factory. If it is anything like Dell's recovery program it is pretty much useless after about a week of using the machine.

Apparently it(Retten.exe) is a German thing as all the sites I could find that refer to it are all in german.

Hope this helped,
Jimi_l
