Do you have a backup of the c:\documents and settings\aplication data\mozila\firefox\bookmarks.html file?

The mozilla company can't help with these personal issues as its saved locally to your pc.

"i tried to retreive them and nothng seemed to happen, i tried something else and a lot happened,"

Could you elaborate a little more on this. We have no idea what you did.

Weave Sync stores your bookmarks online so if you did the sync properly before you wiped the drive you should be able to retrieve them all.

I tried to import the bookmarks, i clicked what i thought was the right button, and nothing seemed to happen. No movement, no spinning of the icon, no bookmarks. the other button i clicked on was one that said (i thought) delete the current bookmarks and replace the ones on your computer. To me that means, i can delete the few on my computer, and import the ones i had synced. I don't think that was the way it worked. The wording just wasn't clear to me, so i may have done something irretrievable, but i hope not. I really appreciate you taking an interest in my plight. thank you so much, danielle

Did it perhaps say delete and replace FROM your computer?

Hey, ,just an FYI, once you get everything working, try XMarks bookmarks. IMO it works better than Weave and is easier to sync from or to computer.

as far as i'm concerned here, they're lost. I don't know if weave has an account with my name on it with a file somewhere that i can retrieve them from. sites today are designed not to indulge in human interaction. i'm just going to proceed on and start over, i thank all of you for your help, what a wonderful human experience this has been here. thanks, Danielle
