I am using windows xp pro as a stand alone computer.Some times other people come & use my computer.I want to know that how can i restrict the user that she should not install any software.

1 create a user as a limited account this will do the restriction to do this load cmd by Start > Run > CMD and then type Net user anyone /add this then creates a limited account only and you can not install softwear or hardwear without the permission of an administrator and secondly make guest account active my typing in cmd net user Guest /active:yes the enter this turns on guest accout no password needed and they can not install softwear or hardwear again becuase it is only a guest account good luck to exit cmd just type the word exit or click the X
