Trying to restore the my documents or documents and settings. Here's the situation.

Had a error with my system files which would not allow me to boot. Tried to do a repair Windows and somehow uninstalled my original XP and installed a brand new copy. Somehow that copy got password protected so I can't get into it so I had to installed another copy of windows.

Now I have a dual boot system on the same drive, go figure but I know how to fix that part. What I need to do is copy my documents and settings folder to my new document folder. Each time I try I get an error message and my system locks up. So I guess now I am at a loss of how to do this. I had to reinstall most of my programs to get them in the registry so I also have a lot of duplication so to speak. Any suggestions?
