Hi I have deleted my default user account. I can log in as admin but I like to have all of my other features of my default user account be back.
All of my files as default user is still in documents and settings folder, I just deleted the name of default user from User account page.
When I try to log in as a different user than admin, it says that I can not login as a user INTERACTIVELY! I can login only as admin.
How can I login as a different user?
Can I just create a new user with my old deleted user name and have everything back to normal?thanks

Have you tried system restore? If so did it help? i_Xp/VistaUser
Yes, I tried system restore for last few days even, but it always says that it can not be restored to that date.
Then what is the use of system restore if it can not restore it to that particular date?kiranasa
"Can I just create a new user with my old deleted user name and have everything back to normal?" I am sure by now you have tried this and discovered that the answer is no. Real serious message when deleting an account of unique sid and unrecoverable.
You can create a new user and copy the contents of settings and documents to that profile.
But first you have to change the local policy to allow interactive logons.
Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

What does the logging in interactively error have to do with your original problem of how to restore a deleted local account? Life's more painless for the brainless.
