My HDD has the OS and 2 partitions. I want to cancell one partition and redefine the others. IOW I want to make the portion containing my OS smaller and partition 1 bigger. How do I do that? Thanx in advance for your assistance.

You would have to use a program like Partition Magic 8 which is what I use. This will allow you to merge the 2 partions in one bigger one, and then resize your C: drive to a smaller size. That will leave unallocated space for you to redistribute elsewhere. You should have a little bit of knowledge to use this in case you screw your system up, but it's fairly straightforward. I'm not sure of any free programs that do this but I've heard there are some.

Gparted is your best bet for a free partition manager. Familiar with Linux? Gparted comes with quite a few distributions of it such as Ubuntu, Red Hat I think, Fedora, and a couple others.
