I backed up a HUGE database file using the "backup" command in DOS from Windows NT. How do I restore the disks to Windows XP?

Your question is a little confusing to me since there is no DOS in NT. Did you use the NTbackup Tool? Was the file extension of this backup bkf?

Hi, Jennifer.
I used the Windows DOS Prompt Command in NT. It took 17 3.5 floppy disks to hold the file. There are 2 files on each disk and they are named BACKUP.001 and CONTROL.001

Can I jump in on this. I have a similar problem. 22 disks with BACKUP and CONTROL files. mine were generated using DOS 3.3 This is on an IBM PS2. I need the data on a newer machine, options 98 or XP. Neither has an executable called restore.
