restart/shutdown xp pc.

khuram, SWAG ONLY, never tried it. Seems to me that shutdown shouldn't be too big a hurdle. If all else fails, I use a stand alone proggie called called 'Slawdog' (said to work on all versions). Get it free @:
among other places. Works good and I drag/dropped the icon into my quick launch so it'd be handy for use. Strikes me you should be able to do the same thing and simply click on the shortcut (put it on your desktop if you'd rather). Now restart's a different matter. Think you'd have to do that in person. Maybe you could hibernate rather than shut down? Can't help there, dunno how it's done.

both above solutions are practical but they working on local pc.
I want to restart/shutdown/logoff the computer located in other
place on same network.
