Restarts itself while booting every time

I have a dual boot with Win98 and WinXP. I just did a clean install of WinXP yesterday and setup all of my usual programs and settings. Now here's my problem:
When I try to start the computer in WinXP, it will start booting up and then restart. It will do the disk checking and as soon as it's done with that, it will restart. I also tried skipping the disk checking, no luck. It does the same thing when I try to boot into Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Network Support, etc. It wasn't doing this earlier. Anyone know what the problem is?

Oh yeah, Win98 boots up just fine, so I don't think it's anything hardware related, probably driver\software related.

TIA.

I would try to do a repair of WinXP--Boot to WinXP CD and choose the repair option after the license agreement. Not totally logical, but it will not hurt anything. You could try a Fixboot and maybe a Fixmbr in the recovery console.
Good luck

You said that you installed all of your normal applications. This indicates to me that you had XP working at one point? If so, when did it stop working? After you installed the programs? If so, which programs did you install. Basically what i'm looking for is everything you've done to the computer after the fact (the fact being installing XP and it working correctly). If you can relate as much of this information as possible, i'm certain I could help!

All my best,
Tyler

It stopped working after my computer froze while I was using a program, which is beta and has some bugs. I had to restart my computer after it froze and since then, my computer keeps rebooting when i restart it.
