OK. Here recently my computer will get shutdown due to updates, program restarts, or power outage what have you. Upon restart my computer gets as far as the XP loading screen then will restart. I have not narrowed this down to a specific program that causes this because it does it randomly. Meaning there is no obvious reason. I have updated my BIOS, Windows, I have kept Windows from updating, I've scanned for every know virus. Also, I use SATA drives, but 3 months ago it didn't do this which brought me to my BIOS being out of date but it still does it. If anyone knows of a similar problem I can search or something that would even be appreciated. Anyways, thanks a bunch.

A bios update should be the very last thing you do in troubleshooting a problem, and then it's probably not going to fix anything.
Win XP reboots when it encounters an unrecoverable error.
To have XP display the error message instead of rebooting:
1. Click Start, and then right-click My Computer.
2. Click Properties.
3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
4. Under System failure, click to clear the Automatically restart check box.
5. Click OK, and then click OK.

After doing what's in Reply #1, you may want this --
Find a list of STOP MESSAGES here:

but you get the idea.
