Specs: Windows XP
I got the disk for the program to download, but it will not open up to be used. In fact all my kids games won't download or open to be able to be used.

How does the content of your post correlate to the subject title?

When you say download do you mean install?

Please provide specifics like the name of the game, how you are trying to install it and error messages

Nope. I could download it, but it will not open to play...I get the error message, "Resource I/O error," and all the icons get really big!

The full answer to the last question in #1 might help us to help you, so I can only guess what you might be doing.

You normally have to download the file and "save it" somewhere, then double click a file to install it. After that you run the game.

Best and most reliable practice is not to just hit Run at the download stage.

To clarify the above the term download generally refers to going on the internet and finding a file that you then download to your computer. Is that what you are doing?

No. It is a educational game program from disk that I am putting on my computer for my kids to play with like the person with the Barbie game.

Are all the games you mention on disk? None of them work anymore but they used to work on that computer with that version of Windows installed?
