Resolution wont stay

CPU/Ram: AMD 1900+/1G

My resolution wont stay under windows xp. after i set it properly, it constantly reverts to 640x480x32. running an epox 8rda with a radeon 9700pro. any help?

Do you have the latest (and correct) video drivers installed for your Radeon 9700 Pro?

Also what hertz did you set your monitor on? Theres been problems when you set the hertz to a certain amount. It seems to run fine but when the computer restarts it automatically changes the hertz back to original and causes the resolution to change with it.,

its on 85hz, and i had latest drivers installed until they caused every game i owned to crash. they did the same thing anwyay. getting sick of having to set resolution every boot....
