Nitnoy problem driving me nuts--Dell Inspiron notebook, 15" screen. Every time I boot up, the desktop is centered, but takes up only half the screen--large black border surrounds it to edge. I can make it full only by going to display, settings, and changing color quality back and forth between 16 bit and 32 bit. Either change works. Any suggestions?

try using ADAWARE also its a free download. Also check your settings for your graphics card.

Have updated Norton AV, AdAware, Spybot, The Cleaner, all come up clean. Thanks for the advice though.
