When I go into Task Manager and look under Processes, I have a list of programs. I right click one and I reset the priority to high. (it was set at normal). It stay at 'high' until windows reboots and it reverts back to 'normal'.. How can I keep it at high?? I want to keep this program running at high priority with out having to reset it whenever I reboot.. help please

I hate to spend $33 for that commerical prgm. just to do this

I think what jefro is talking about there is that "start/priority/path/name.exe" appears to be a Command Prompt command.
In Command Prompt, type
start /?
for more information. I do not know about that.

My opinion is that you may have to Search the Registry to get what you want.
Maybe search for words like Priority, or the name of the program, and keep searching over and over until you find the correct data.In notice that each process has a different priority. So it must be a Registry setting.

Thanks for the reply', SO far I can't come up with anything. I have searched the registry and can find many instances of my program, but I can't tell where or how the priority might be set. 'hopefully?' thanks again fran

I doubt Windows would allow you to prioriticizing processes during startup. Otherwise Windows will not load satisfactory.

Yes. I tried doing
Ctrl +F, then hit Enter
many times in looking for each instance of Priority. Got tired of doing it.Maybe you have to Search for all instances of the EXE name as shown in Task Manager ??
