Resets Date and Time

Have replaced the CMOS Battery twice, but no success. Disconnecting the Power from the Power Supply the Date and Time Setting goes back to the Date of manufacturing of the BIOS, Dec.01.2001. Leaving the Power plugged in, the Date and Time remains correct. Any Suggestions? Thanks.

Could you be installing the battery upside down? Or maybe the battery is loose in the holder and not making good contact. Two bad batteries is not likely, but a possibility.

either that or the cmos jumpers are not set properly. The jumper should be across the #1 and #2 post for normal operation!

If you are absolutely sure you have followed everything exactly as outlined HERE and HERE and you still experience problems, then it is likely that you're experiencing a more serious issues, such as bad motherboard or power supply unit.

Thanks again. The Batteries are storebought and installed the correct way and secure. It can't be the Powersupply, as long as I keep it under Power it works great. Only when I disconnect it the Date and Time goes away.

Hmm what caused it to occur in the first place? Did you recently had any power surge? If the PSU is fine then it has to be the motherboard.
