Anyone know how to set a fake 16gb pendrive, back to original 2gb? Device manager says it's a Samsung and chip info:
MW6208E
242191-5
0BHT0808

If not possible to set to 2gb, is it possible to partition it with a 2gb partition and leave the rest hidden?

I googled for fake pen drives and got about 253,000 hits on fake pendrives sold mostly on eBay. Did you buy yours on eBay? I managed to find one link that provide instructions on how to fix fake pendrives. You may wish to try it. Good luck.

P.S. If I were you I would throw it away and never buy anything without first doing some check. Read eBay guide below.

Can't find a way to reset the pendrive, but I have found a way to make a 2gb partition changing a driver to fool xp into thinking it's a fixed drive and partition it to 2gb.

Boot to a linux live cd and partition/format it.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
