CPU/Ram: Intel/ 512
Product: Refurb.
Comment:

Have had two PC's that go into a Repetative rebooting mode, they go through the boot process up untill the Windows legend comes on. Then begin the complete reboot process again. These machines have been operating perfectly for some time. We pulled the HDD's out and inserted in like Pc's for test and they were flawless.
These PCs and others are refurbed salvage and given to neady families, Shut-ins, and handy capped by a charitable Org.
None of we who volunteer there, have ever enountered this problem.
These units are running on shelves in display normally so people can check them out, and they are the ones who usually let us know of a problem.

We would appreciate any input on this you may have. Thank you!

Sounds like a display driver problem to me. Try hitting the F8 key after the initial boot screen. This should pull up the "Boot Option" page. Select the "Safe Mode" option to find out if the units will finish loading and repost.

Tomorrow the Stars!

As per response #2, I've had systems that display similiar symptoms until I boot them into safe mode, log in as Admin and then restart them.

No errors were found...I think the Admin account was just lonely.

I would suspect overheating especially this time of year. See if all the fans are running. Check the bios for the temp stats

Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

Thanks for your replys all. I did manage to get into safe mode, but there wasn't anything amiss there. so I started the disassembly from the MOBO one item at a time except the HDD and the video card.
I pulled the video card and used a spare I had, and that resolved the problem. From now on we will take them apart, clean as usual and reassemble in a manner that we can some what check each accessory installed. Thanks again, from the gang.
