friends computer cannot conect to the internet through a wirless modem router
think its an ie problem as i have got the router working fine at my house
trouble is every man and his dog has been trying before me and the ie settings are a mess
they seem to have xp upgrade over win 98 (i know clean install is always best but i dont want to reinstall all that
so im looking for a quick fix.
can i reinstall ie if its been done that way (ie xp update from win 98)
they use laptops so dont really use this computer so dont worry if its slow etc
ant quick way to reset all the broadband settings
installed the pipex disc
other problem is i have reset the router but i cant get on to 192.168.1.1 at her house but it does it fine at my house
when i try at her house i get cannot connect to the internet

In device manager, uninstall and reinstall the network adapter drivers. Make sure you have the XP driver for the nic when you reinstall. Are you running SP2?

You posted NA for everything. Guess the others here thought you have XP because that is the forum you posted in. In order to get good help you need to supply good information.
