I need to get this uninstalled cause I want to use a different program. Any suggestions

you can try going into the nero folder in program files & use the programes native uninstall. usually called "unwise" or "unistall" or similar

Burning Rom.msi is on the Nero CD in the 'Nero 55' folder. Try uninstalling with the cd in the drive. Good luck, Rex

Start the install process from Nero cd as if it were a new install. The first window in installer gives you the uninstall option. Rex

why do you want to unistall nero. it is the fastest burning software out there hands down. also it burns in raw mode so you can burn almost every cd out there.

Samsung included a Nero Burning ROM 5.5 CD in their package for a notebook that came with Windows XP Pro installed. Windows then informs that it has prevented the drivers for DirectCD being installed because it they will make the system unstable and then directs the user to the Roxio site for the appropriate driver-don't ask why DirectCD or Roxio? Apart from the absurdity of Samsung's software provision, I can't find the appropriate drivers at the Roxio site or at the Nero site either. Both have massive upgrades! Is this how they handle the issue of drivers?
Any help would be appreciated.

Craig

try this on the command prompt from inside the fillowing folder :
c:\windows\system\msiexec /i /QN FASTOEM=1 MEDIAPACKAGEPATH=\
Then enter and watch it perform a silent installation .Else copy the cd on the desktop reboot to safe mode double click on the rom.msi
