Hi. I installed a manager program for my router and it put a 'My Shared Folder' icon on the desktop. This icon is not a shortcut though and I have tried everything to remove it but, no success. I tried using the Desktop tab on the Display Properties and then clicking the 'customize desktop' button but it didn't work. If anyone knows how to get rid of this icon, please let me know. I also had another question about arranging icons on folders. I want all the icons on all the folders arranged by 'type'. But, whenever I do this and come back to the folder some time later, the icons are always auto-arranged and when I right-click on the folder the 'auto arrange' option is checked even though I had removed it previously. Please let me know how I can permanently keep all icons arranged in a certain way and keep auto-arrange off. Thank you very much.

Look in Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. If there is an entry there for your "manager program for my router" , uninstall the software, then install it again if you still want to use it in some folder or place other than My Shared. If there is no entry there, Look in Start - Programs - "manager program for my router" - and see if there is an uninstall item there. If there is no entry there, look for an uninstall on the CD you installed it with.
