Removing a file that is corrupt

I have tried to delete a folder in my firefox folder and it comes up saying that it is corrupt and unreable. i have tried unlocker to delete it but that didn't work. I also ran the chkdsk and it found nothing.

I guess you could 'try' uninstalling Firefox to see if that gets rid of it. If you try that, it might be wise to save your bookmarks first, just in case.

Another thing to try, might be using a Knoppix live cd to delete it.

I've already unistalled firefox .. sorry i though i included that in the intial post.
I'll try both of those and let you know if they work

I tried the Drdelete and it removed one of the files, but the other one it won't delete. The only one that is left is ...

No i have not tried to reove it in save mode. How would i do that?

just tap f8 on bootup and then choose safe mode.

I tried to remove it in safe mode, but it still says cannot delete forms:Thef ile or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

You may want to try move on boot....it is free and might do the job for you

I tried move on boot and it didn't remove the file.

I have the same file (along with several other css files) in my Firefox folders on all my machines. Why do you feel you need to delete the file?

Did you check to see if it's read only?

The file comes up corrupted when i tried to update my firefox and my screen was stretched completely
