I installed Suse linux evaluation version a while back and don't I've decided it's not quite what I'm looking for. I installed it as a dual boot with Win XP as the default. I want to remove Suse linux without hurting XP and also reclaim the linux partition for XP again but I can't seem to find a thread anywhere describing how to do this. please help. Thank you.

It seems like you could just remove the Linux partition and then reset it to use XP. As for the dual boot setup, soemone else may have the trick for that.
Good luck.

Go to my website (Homepage link) and look up the section titled "Dual Boot Removal Procedures - Dual-Boot remove Linux or Windows".
This is exactly what you need.

Thank you very much, mosaddique. I went to your website and followed your instructions and everything worked out great. My notebook now boots to XP and I deleted the linux partition. Is there anyway to reclaim that space back to the original "C:" drive?

Hi Again. It seems to me I have read here in Computing.net that either Partition Magic or a similar utility will let you do that. Otherwise, it's a matter of repartitioning and reconfiguring, and of course reinstalling XP again. Hopefully, someone will know of a partitioning utility that will let you bring it all back under the C: drive. Good luck.
HTH

PC Bob is right you need Partition magic or similar.
If your winXP is FAT32 then you could try "the Partition Resizer v1.3.4" from here. It is freeware. I have not tried it myself though. It does not work for NTFS.
The other much better alternative could be to create a separate partition from this unallocated space and use it as a backup or additional storage area. If you got plenty to sparein your C: currently then that is what I would do.
