Wondering if anyone knows how to remove items from msconfig startup. I have several dead items I want to eliminate but can't seem to figure out how. Is there a program or application out there that makes this easy? Thanks for any help.

Hi Scout; I prefer to use RegCleaner, version 4.3. I don't know how comfortable you are with editing the registry, but I don't like to muck around with it. I have used RegCleaner to get rid of un-necessary, obsolete registry entries; particularly from a few programs that I deleted some time ago. The addy is above, in case you want to check it out. Look on the left-hand side for "registry", click on that, then scroll down about half-way till you see RegCleaner version 4.3 I like it because it affords you the chance to back up everything, in case you screw things up (that's why I don't mess with the registry-I don't understand it good enough yet) With RegCleaner, you can enter the search option, and it will find the entries for you. Or, you can view everything that is in "start-up" if you want to delete stuff that way. Hope this helps you out a little. ~Tommyo
