Hello fellow techs,
I am looking for a way to have a user's profile completely removed when that user logs off of their account on any machine on our domain.
There is a schoolname_students account that is a domain group that ALL students are in, so they can logon to a machine with those credentials that they have physical access to of course.
So I put them in the Guest group and when they logoff then their profile disappears, or at least use to do that. I have no idea what changed from when it worked before, but if there is ANY way to do this from the local machine that would be the absolutely most ideal solution right now. Thanks a million for any help on this.

Could an application be holding the profile open?
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

thanks to both of you so far who've responded. Jefro, I don't believe an application could be a culprit as these machines are rebooted regularly several times a week.
didn't find anything on that site besides roaming profiles, which these are not. again, thanks for any and all info I can try for deleting profiles that are locally stored on any machine on campus. Microsoft says any user listed in the Guest group is deleted upon logoff.
but as I stated in my first post, that is no longer the case somehow on all the XP machines I am running where students logon.
please continue to help, it is most appreciated.
Chuck
