I recently put a hard drive on my computer as a slave and formatted and installed xp pro on it, It runs fine on this comp but when you put the hard drive back in the other comp with the OS on it you get a message saying please rmove sisks or other media, when there isn't any in there. There was amessage posted on this a while ago, but nobody responded. I'd appreciate any help i can get.

why do you have your bootable drive (the one that contains windows xp) set as slave? why did you put the drive in another computer to install xp on it only to move it to another pc. this can cause all sorts of problems and usually isnt something that is done by anyone other than very knowledgable people. what are you trying to accomplish here? why didnt you install windows xp on the hard drive from the machine u want it running on? thats what you should be doing...
