Remote shutdown dialog

Specs: Windows XP
i want shutdown or restart or log off other computer in network with CMD
shutdown -i
show the "Remote shutdown dialog"
and when i click on brows button on this dialog .
show error message"the directory services currently is unavalible."
please help me to fix this problem.

mostafa_b, not sure if this'll help or not, but... FWIW, Windows seems to have been plagued with shutdown problems of one sort or another since day 1. I use a standalone shutdown proggie (for convenience) called 'Slawdog' (said to work on all versions, I run XP 3 ). Get it free @:
among other places. Works good and I drag/dropped the icon into my quick launch so it'd be handy for use. If you're trying to do it remotely, maybe you can run it and shut things down?
