I have email messages stored in OUTLOOK EXPRESS in a folder named "HOLD". While I am on vacation, I want to access them from a remote computer, running OUTLOOK (not OE) and send them. How can I access and control OE from another computer?

You can use Remote Desktop to access your pc like you were sitting in front of it, remotely.

Thank you for your swift reply.
I do not have the installation CD - XP was factory installed. My computer has a Recovery partition which might possibly have the remote desktop application on it, but I don't want to use that as it would require massive re-installation of programs and data.
I tried to find a download for Remote Desktop on the Microsoft site but they all seem to indicate that I must be running XP Professional and I have the Home Edition.

Try the link SysLock gave you. There is a download there.

Also, have you looked at Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, click Communications.
It might already be installed.

Before posting try google. Backup. Use anti virus software.

Remote desktop is a Windows XP Pro feature. My first computer had XP Home, and after I saw remote desktop in action (my friend accessed his computer in a university computer lab), I made sure I got XP Pro for my next computer. Any OS can access the remote desktop after downloading the client, but the computer being controlled must be on XP Pro.

You might need to use another remote control software (google VNC).

You might want to store your e-mail on an internet server. Maybe Google docs, or change your e-mail from POP to IMAP. That way, your e-mail client won't delete the e-mail from your e-mail server, and you can just arrange your e-mail into folders on the IMAP server.

Thanks for the ideas.
I waited until the last minute to seek a solution to my email problem and I'm having trouble setting up the microsoft version of Remote Desktop. I have two computers on the same IP, one direct connect and the other wireless connection. I suspect that is where I;m having the difficulty.
Since I'm short on time, I took the easy way out and tried using the free 30 day trial of MIO Net. It's a commercial program and it seems to do what I need.
When I get back home and have more time, I'l try to debug my remote desktop installation.
Thanks again for the assist.
