Hi
We have a firewall installed and want to use remote desktop inside our internal network, I assume I use NAT to assign a real IP and open the port for remote desktop. But if I want to do this for say 10-20 machines and I don't have 20 real IPs is it possible to use my NT file server as the gateway to connect to the client machine using remote deaktop.
Some remote software I can connected to a machine by connecting to another client.

You can use Real VNC software to remote control your file server , then use again VNC on file server to control your private network clients.

Ack, no! VNC is horribly slow (and insecure) compared to RDP. Given the choice, I strongly recommend using remote desktop.
Nowell kind of has the right idea though. You can remote desktop to your file server, and remote desktop again from there to each internal host.
Or, you can assign each host a different port to use for remote desktop and create a separate port-forwarding rule on your NAT device for each host. Instructions for changing the port are here
