I know Windows XP Home Edition does not come with the option for remote desktop, but can it be added? If so, how?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

No you can only get remote desktop with xp pro. You can get the client software for other versions including xp home. The client version only allows you to connect to a xp pro that has remote desktop.
