Hey every1, I wanted to set up a remote desktop web connection so I could connect to my computer from school. I followed all the instructions to do it. I went to Add/Remove Components and installed the Remote Desktop Web Connection and then I went to http://(my IP)/tsweb and it worked. But!!! When I asked sum1 else to try and go there, or I tried to go to it from school, it did not work. There is no such site! If ne1 has any suggestions tell me. If sum1 has done a remote desktop web connection before and knows how, please tell me a step by step way of how you did it so that I can try and do it over. Please Help Every1!!!!

If you've got a firewall up, that's going to keep you from getting in remotely. You've got to open up traffic on port 3389 for remote desktop.
However, seeing as how we don't even know what you're running, i'll stop until you provide more information. Let us know what firewall stuff you have running.
I don't have a firewall...at least, I don't think I do. I have a Pentium 4 1.7 GHz and 128 MB of Ram. I have a Verizon DSL Connection. I don't really know what else you guys want...if you want me to tell me more then ask for sum specifics. Also, if you could tell me how you open up trafiic on port 3389 that would help as well so I could see if it works. Thanks!
