Remote Desktop Strange issues

When I try to connect a pc using my remote desktop client the pc remote screen opens for few seconds but disapperar afterwards what can be the issue kindly inform

Too many apps running on the host PC will do that.
Try reconnecting using a lower display setting. Once in, exit a few applications, disconnect, change resolution back and reconnect at the better resolution.

Try checking the event viewer too see any system errors or whatever process stopping the connection.
