I am just testing the desktop remote connection between my WinXP computer and Win2000 computer that are connected through LAN and also with other computers all connected to the internet. I have enabled the allow other computer to connect to this computer from the WinXP computer and I have already installed the client remote desktop connetion on the win2000 computer. Anytime I try to connect to the winxp computer from win2000 sys it will tell me that it can not connect due to restriction on the account I am using to log in. If it is true that there is restriction, how can I remove such restriction? NB: I used administrator account to log on winxp and on win2000.

there are 2 things to look at

if you are remote desktop'ing using tsweb(terminal services)

you want to go into your administrative tools on the host computer(winxp)

right-click on your toolbar, go to properties>start menu tab> customize>advanced
make sure u can find the administrative tools

inside the administrative tools, there should be a selection for internet information services...if u go into there, itll show you the webpages you are running

you'll go into the page properties for tsweb
and make sure the users are allowed...
the default user for tsweb is going to be the IUSR account, that gives an internet user access to your computer, at the bottom, you will have windows logon activated so that they will log in using windows logon

if you are using the built in remote desktop program in winxp(mstsc), then go into administrative tools, local security policy, and look through all these, and make sure they look okay

I have Internet Explorer 6 with the Service Pack Update. All of a sudden today, javascript stopped working. I had installed Norton Antivirus 2003 but it wouldn't install completely. So I c ancelled it. I also had Personal Firewall 2003 and uninstalled that. OK Well the problem is javascript IS enabled, and I have the latest virtual machine and still no java? I don't get it. I am using Windows XP.

Also on some sites, the links do not appear correctly. They are bigger, and I'm not talking about the font size. There are less graphics showing up also.

Can anyone help me?
