I just formatted my machine, which had Windows 2000 Advanced Server on it, and installed XP Pro. I am extremly satisfied with the OS, with the exception of one think I was hoping you guys would maybe be able to help me on. In 2000, there was Terminal Service, which is now what Remote Desktop Connection is called in XP. The main part to Terminal Service which was useful for me, was that you had the ability to have any amount of users logged in via the Terminal Serverice Client now known as Remote Desktop Connection Client. This was great becasue I had the ability to be down the street and work on my machine. However in XP, I can not seem to do this. I can log in using the Remote Desktop Connection Client however it then disconnects the main machine and any user on it. If that user logs in, it then disconnects me from my session. This was not the case in 2k.

Sorry But that is the way that they made it. They say it is for sucurity so the person at the other end (sitting at pc) can see anything. I think you can still have multiple users conect to it. If you get lucky you might find a reg edit that will stop that. I dont know. Good Luck on your search

But the user can not even see what I am doing, it just sends them back to the Windows Login screen, and if they re log back on, it logs my remote connection off.
