I am facing problem while connecting my laptop to work desktop. The case is, I am sure that work desktop has all the proper settings. As I could connect to the work desktops using other laptops and m/c.
The problem only lies in my laptop. When I use Remote desktop Connection, I get this message - 'The client could not connect to the remote desktop. Remote connections might not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to accept new connections. It is also possible that network problems are preventing your connection. Please try connecting later.'
I also checked all the settings and registry settings in my laptop. PLEASE HELP !!!

Have you enabled Remote Desktop on the laptop? Is the Terminal Service started? Can you ping the desktop from the laptop?
Life's more painless for the brainless.

Jennifer - Yeah I have enabled the Remote desktop option in my Laptop thru Control Panel. Also I could ping the desktop.
When u ask whether Terminal Service is started, do u mean in the Remote desktop. In that case, it should obvioulsy be started as I could remotely login into that desktop using other laptops.

"or the computer might be too busy to accept new connections."
Often a restart of that host PC will fix that issue.
Another thing to try is reducing the screen resolution within the RDC options. If this lets you in then close out any running programs on the office (host) PC, disconnect, reset RDC screen options and reconnect.
You may also want to try connecting to it's FQDN or it's IP address. (although I don't think this will help with the specified error message)
