Here is the situation:
I have been able to use remote desktop connection to connect to a WinXP Pro machine from a Win98SE machine without any problem.
But all the sudden, it wouldn't work anymore. The Remote Desktop Connection from the Win98 machine just keep giving me the following message.
"The remote connection has timed out. Please try connecting to the remote computer again"
So, does anyone know what seems to be the problem here and how to fix it? Thanks
I have also tried to connect to a wrong IP 'intentionally' and I still get the same message...
Could it be the remote client Win98 has the problem?
Or the host WinXP machine has the problem?
Thanks.

Can you ping the ip you are trying to connect to from the win98 box?
What is the latency of the ping? Very high latency or packet loss can cause connection problems with remote desktopBrian Lewis
