Hi, i would like to know the following situation regarding a remote assistance session. Im trying to use remote assistance to take over a machine but it seems that i do not have admin rights during the remote session. As the log in user does not have local admin rights in his machine. My account has local admin rights in the machine. But it seems that the remote session is using the user's login profile. Is there a way where i can log in via remote assistance session with admin rights?

Yes. When you connect to the machine, authenticate with your Admin account. If the other user is logged in, he/she will be logged out. Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

To go a little deeper. With remote assistance you only have rights that the user has logged in with. With Remote Desktop Connection you log in with your own credentials. With remote assistance the user can see what you are doing but with remote desktop they can not. Bryan

Its there anyway i can tweak the registry to accomplished the remote assistance session as my credentials rather the the log-on user?
