I installed Zone Alarm on a friends computer. I want him to be able to ask for remote assistance if he has a problem with something. Do I need to add anything to Zone Alarm to allow the request for remote assistance to go thru? I tested this with Norton Internet Security and I didn't get any alerts, so I didn't need to add any rules. I haven't tested it with zone alarm yet. I'm thinking that since the request for remote assistance is trusted, it shouldn't come up as an alert on a firewall? Thanks.

Best thing to do is test it with ZoneAlarm installed on your friend's computer, just to be absolutely sure. Then, if necessary, add permission for it in ZoneAlarm so your friend doesn't have to deal with it.

Norton's Firewall is quite strong on keeping hackers out so if it's allowing Remote Assistance to get through unchallenged, my guess is that ZoneAlarm will do the same.
