remembering seraches

hi how can you remove what you have typed in google searches? as when i start typing in a search it comes up with what i have put already, this is really annoying. i have tried clearing the history but it doesn't work. thanx jess xx

I just figured it out for you. When you type in the 1st letter and a list comes up, highlight the one you want to delete, then while holding down ur control button click the delete key. It will be erased. I don't know if there's a faster way.HTH

If you don't feel like going into Internet Options and clearing everything... you can double-click on the blank search field on the google page to open the drop-down list. Move your cursor over the first entry to highlite it and hit the delete key (you don't need to hold the control key)... if you hold down on the delete key... it'll quickly delete all of them.
