relating my 160 and 1 tb hard drives

Specs: Windows XP, 2gb
i am currently having 2 SATA drives of 160 and
1tb capacity.i have windows xp 32 bit on my
160 and i boot windows from it but a strange
thing is happening.....my windows has
stopped boooting on pc start up and as a i
disconnect the 1 tb hard drive windows starts
working.i have checked bios setup 160 HD id
on top of 1TB.plz help me with it i am unable
to figure it out!

mmm... Not yet played with SATA drive so this is a sort of useful learning curve for me here too...

Suggest you do a google trawl using:

master and slave Sata drives

as the search term/string...

You'll get a range of hits; and there is one from Seagate that tels you how to set it all up. And there are several others in the same vein...

Since sata is one cable to one drive there is not master/slave setup or jumpers required.

Make sure the 160 is drive0 and the bios sees it that way as well as it is set for boot in the bios.
