Solved Reinstalling xp shows errors!

Specs: Windows xp, Intel pentium
Installing windows xp by formatting old windows xp which was crashed....
During Installation it shows following error,

Fatal Error:

An error occured that prevents setup from continuing.
One of the components that windows need to continue setup could not be installed.
The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
Press OK to view setup log file.

Error:

sxs.DLL : syntax error in manifest or policy file "E:\I386\asms\io\msft\windows\gdiplus\GDIPLUS.MAN" on line 4.

The most likely cause is that the hard drive has failed. It needs replacing with a new one.

Either the disc is bad, the optical drive is bad, or the HDD is bad. And if you have a SATA HDD, there's a trick to be able to install XP.

Sometimes bad ram can cause errors during installation. You may want to run memtest and check yours:

http://www.memtest.org/

There are ISO and floppy image downloads there.

Hello,
Thank you all..
I found the solution there is problem in my cd drive. it is damaged one.. as tip given by riider..
So i select his answer as best solution..
