Due to some difficulties i have to re-install windows xp. But the problem is that i don't have the CD (i missplaced it), is there a way to re-install WinXp without the cd like in WinMe - > 'C:/windows/options/install/setup.exe'
so is there such a way as in WinMe to re-install in WinXp.hope my discription was enough.
and also someone told me to locate Windows XP installation folder.....
actually i did FIND the folder named 'I386', all THREE of them:
I386 : 'D:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache
I386 : 'D:\Windows\System32\ReinstallBackup\0000\DriverFiles'
I386 : 'D:\Windows\System32\ReinstallBackup\0001\DriverFiles'i cant find setup or any installation files, what should i do? or those Dlls and orher files can be used to re install?
sorry i'm a novice
thanks in advance.

Cora,
I think you need the CD, but when it's possible to startup XP in safe mode, you can reset to earlier settings with Start/help and support "undo changes to your computer with system restore". Choose a restore point and XP goes to earlier settings.
Greetings
Jos
