Something happened to my computer.
I am trying to reinstall the XP from CD but cd would
not start.
I tried F8 and F12 and can not find anything to start
installing from CD. After choosing Safe Mode blue
window shows up and freezes. In the end says

By chance is the system under a (Dell) warrranty still?

Is the CD you have a full version, Upgrade, or a Dell supplied recovery version?

Is the boot sequence set to CD first?

Is the bios set to boot from CD/DVD first ? Also, what prompted you to reinstall XP in the first place ?

I'm assuming you meant Windows XP Home Edition.

Check your ram if what you posted is accurate. Your Laptop Specifies 512mb Dimms. I found no compatible 256 mb Dimms at the link below.

This could account for the Computer refusing to install the OS.

First thing would be install AT LEAST 512mb Dimm to give XP a fighting chance. Max Ram is 2GB for this Machine.

Error code returns nothing on google search.

There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.
