My mother is getting a lot of script errors when she is on the net.Is there any way of reinstalling internet explorer 7 over her already installed version?

I'd remove IE 7 altogether.

why not just go to tools/internet options/advanced and then put a checkmark beside disable script debugging (internet explore) and disable script debugging (other)
That should rectify your problem

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

during instalation and before downloading, it will need to validate the system.

if she has a legal copy of windows xp, it won't matter if it was an OEM or not.

go to this link to see if her windows is genuine:

why not do an sfc /scannow? You have the disk to replace the files. If that doesn't work, how about a repair install?

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks
