reinstalling IE

Hi, want to uninstall IE 6 then install IE 6 on my XP Pro, how?

Open the registry editor and go to
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383}

and change the value data for IsInstalled from "1" to "0" and re-boot the system.

That will uninstall IE.

You can go to c:\windows\inf and right click on ie.inf and click on install to re-install IE.

If you feel uneasy about messing with the Registry.

How to unistall IE6

Notice it doesn't mention WinXP at the top of the page, but does at the bottom.
