Hello All, I'm trying to reinstall win xp on my wife's pc using the "Reinstallation CD" but when I reboot her pc and select reinstall, a box pops up sayng the operating system on the pc is newer than the one i'm trying to install. The only options it gives me is to cancel. How do i get past this box? Her reinstallation CD says XP Home Edition including Service Pack 1a. Her pc has been updated over the last couple years and has SP2. Could this be why i'm getting this box that pops up?

Tim

Try downloading the Service pack 2

Then use Autostreamer to integrate it.

I have used this with my Fujitsu Siemens recovery disk, so it should work.

Before posting try google. Backup. Use anti virus software.
