I reinstalled my xp to get sp2. i was able to type all through the process untill after the installation. when i try to type my admin password. its like the keyboard isnt connected. so i cant log in at all. tried 3 different KBs. Nothing! When i go into MOS Setup i can key around the settings. the mouse works. When i reinstalled i had a usb keyboard but was using a ps2 adapter. Can anyone help?

Try the following. Go to Control Panel - System icon - Hardware tab - Device Manager button - click the (+)sign next to 'Keyboard' - right click your keyboard - left click 'Remove'. Reboot to see if Windows successfully restores the keyboard driver. sLLs

I would do that if i could log on. but i cant. i can not type in the admin password. so i cant get access to the computer. i can only use the mouse on the login screen. wich basicly means i can shut the computer back off.
