Reinstalled, No Broadband

I just did a clean format and reinstall of my win xp, and now i cant get my broadband connection up and running, it is recognizing everthing i believe, except it is not reading an IP

You have to reinstall their software Russ.
XP don't know who you use and cannot detect it during install. You need to contact your ISP and get their specific software.

or go to their support download site,or customer service setup info,and follow their online directions.

are you on a router? you can try resetting your router manually

i am currently using opt online, and their software attempts to take you to a webpage, which doesn't work because i do not seem to have any ip or any indication of a connection besides my network connections saying that it is working...
